Garlic Cheese Biscuits Preparation

Pre-heat oven to 450 F. Mix flour, salt, baking powder & cheddar (should turn a bit yellow). Add shortening and mix well (will look like rough corn meal). Add milk and mix again. Scoop and drop on ungreased cookie sheet with tablespoon and bake for 13-15 min. While biscuits are baking, melt butter, add parsley & garlic powder and mix. When biscuits are ready, brush garlic butter mix on hot biscuits. Serve warm. Posted to Bakery-Shoppe Digest V1 #197 by jrjet@mtco.com (Dot & Tim McChesney) on Aug 20, 1997

Good. These were softer than Red Lobster's. I like that you don't start with Bisquick, I like to cook from scratch.
