Ingredients

1 package oreos; (minus 15 oreos), not double stuffed
2 tablespoons Butter; melted
3 8-oz packages cream cheese; at room temp
3/4 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 Eggs; at room temp
3/4 cup sour cream; at room temp

Original recipe makes 10 Servings

Preparation

1 preheat oven to 275 degrees

2 In a food processor combine 15 oreos and the melted butter. Process until finely ground. Press into the bottom of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake 8-10 mins. Allow to cool.

3 Beat the cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla, until well combined. Add sour cream, mix well. Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition.

4 Chop the remaining cookies, Stir 1 1/2 cups into the cream cheese mixture.

5 Pour the mixture over the prepared crust, sprinkle the remaining crushed cookies on top.

6. Bake in a water bath for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until the center is just set. Allow to cool to room temp. Refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.

I made this for my boyfriends birthday and it was absolutely amazing!!!! I may use a little bit less sour cream next time but other than that it was wonderful!! A good choice for any occasion!!!!!

You put the cheesecake pan inside of a bigger pan and fill the bigger pan with water. It prevents the top of the cheesecake from cracking and helps the cheesecake cook evenly. If you don't trust your spring form pan not to leak, you can place the pan of water on a lower rack. Hope this helped!

I made this AGAIN and it was a hit. My visiting mother wanted me to make this because I kept telling her how yummy it was and how its always a hit at my office parties. Well lets just say she can't stop eating it and wanted me to freeze a few slices for she and my dad when she goes back home! LOL of course my hubby LOVES it and cant get enough of it when I make it. I always drizzle triple chocolate sauce on it. This is the best tasting chresecake by far!
