Original recipe makes 6 Servings
2 cRaw sunflower seeds
10 cFashioned oats
1 1/2 cBrown sugar; packed
1/2 lbShredded coconut
3 cChopped almonds, pecans and
1 1/2 cWater
3 tsVanilla
1/2 cHoney
1 cSesame seeds
1 cWheat germ
2 tsCinnamon
1 1/2 cVegetable oil
1 1/2 tsSalt
1/2 cMolasses

Granola Bars Preparation

Granola bars raisins or other dried fruit optional. Pre heat oven to 300. Combine oats, wheat germ, coconut, seeds and nuts Blend well in large sauce pan combine brown sugar, water, oil, honey and molasses, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Heat until sugar dissolves but not to boiling. Pour syrup over dry ingredients and stir until well coated. Spread into 5 13x9 baking pans bake 20-30 min. stirring occasionally. 15 min longer che(u)(r)drier (I think this means chewier and drier) Cool. Add fruit if desired. Store in cool dry place.
