1/2 lbSalted butter
1 1/2 cflour; sifted, plus more
1/2 tsSalt
1 tsBaking soda

Place the flour in a bowl. Make a well in the center; into it place butter, salt, baking soda and ice water. Mix by hand until dough forms walnut size pieces. Refrigerate until ready to use. This was nothing like a puff pastry dough. It didn't taste terrible but the texture really did a disservice to the meal.
