"Made this for a Dove Chocolate party. Dove has a Smoky Chocolate BBQ sauce. We made this recipe with a 1.7lb piece of top sirloin London Broil from our local butcher and it was top notch! The flavor was solid but not overwhelming and it was light enough to use with the BBQ sauce for taste-testing.

I even cooked 1/2 the meat 5 minutes longer per side for well-done and it was still excellent.

I will use this recipe the next time I make London Broil.

Grilled Marinated London Broil Preparation

Mince and mash garlic to a psate with salt and in blender blend with remaining marinade ingredients. In a sealable bag combine meat with marinade.

Seal bag, pressing out excess air, and put in shallow baking dish. Marinate steak, shilled, turning occasionally, at least 4 hours and up to 24.

Bring steak to room temperature before grilling, about 1 hour. Prepare grill. Remove steak from marinade, letting excess drip off, and grill on oiled rack 7 to 9 minutes on each side for medium rare. Transfer steak to a cutting board and let stand for 10 minutes. Holding a knife at a 45x angle, cut steak across grain into thin slices.

I have made this 3x; 2x on a London broil and 1x on a flank steak. All 3x - wonderful! First 2x used a sweet red with great results. Family loved the marinade. Definitely a new staple of a recipe.

Fabulous dish! This turned out remarkably well with all my guest pleased. I think that the honey in the marinade is the taste secret.

Although I accidentally over cooked a bit, it was very good.

Truly delicious and very simple to prepare. We followed the directions exactly but did add some presoaked chunks of Hickory to the grill to add even more flavor. The marinade was great (marinaded for about 14 hrs.) and produced tender, flavorful meat. I highly recommend serving this on the rare to medium-rare side (no more than medium) as the more well you cook it the more tough it will be regardless of the marinade or the slicing.

loved it. I was only able to marinate it for 3 1/2 hours. I felt if i had let it sit longer it would have been even better. we actually used a sweeter red wine and it melted in your mouth.
