"Very good!

I made a few variations. First, I used Greek Yogurt instead of plain (American) yogurt. Greek yogurt is available in many larger markets, and is generally thicker (the consistency of sour cream) and richer.

I also didn't broil it -- I instead used a rotisserie attachment on our grill to make the gyros loaf. It took about 1 1/2 hours to cook all the way, up to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F. (I put the loaf into the fridge, wrapped in plastic, before putting it on the rotisserie.)" - stevemur

I liked this. Easy and yummy. I added coleslaw to the pita because I had some.

Tasty recipe. We actually didn't do patties, but instead made 'hamburger style' lean buffalo and lamb. A little messier than with the patties, but just as tasty...

I made the patties with just garlic and pepper since my boys have simple pallettes. Everyone asked for seconds! Yogurt sauce was delicious as a topping for couscous, as well as the gyros.

made this last night and it was excellent. Used ground hamburger/lamb/pork mix and added dill to the sauce. Such a nice change from the same 'ol hamburgers.
