1 12-oz canWhole-kernel corn
3 tbAll-purpose flour
1 tsSalt
1/8 tsPepper
1 1/2 cHam; cooked & diced
1/4 cGreen pepper; chopped
2 cmilk
2 tbButter or margarine
Parsley; minced
1/4 tsPaprika
1/4 cOnion; chopped
2 1/3 cWater
4 mdPotatoes; washed, peeled

Ham and Potato Chowder Preparation

Melt butter in 3-1/2-quart saucepan. Saute onion and green pepper until tender. Add potatoes, 2 cups water, salt, paprika and pepper. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender. Combine flour and 1/3 cup water in small bowl; blend well. Stir into potato mixture. Add milk. Simmer until slightly thickened, stirring frequently. Add corn and ham; heat through. Quick soup, found it a little bland so added chicken bouillion, about 1 tsp, 1 tsp fine herbs & 1/2 tsp garlic powder, also ised red pepper instead of green. Hubby loved it.

Quick and easy and yummy on a cold, damp fall day in MN. I added a tsp. of chicken bouilon when boiling potatoes and a 1/3 cup of velveeta with the milk.
