Suggest a better descriptionIn a medium sauce pan, saute onion, celery, garlic and thyme, in oil for 5 minutes or until onions are translucent. Add bay leaf and 2 1/2 cups water, bring to a boil, add rice. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed and rice is tender. Remove bay leaf. Spoon into serving bowl. Garnish with thyme sprig. Makes 4 servings. Each serving = 215 calories, 4 g protein, 4 g fat, 0 mg chol, 41 g carbs, 21 mg sodium.
