Original recipe makes 1
2 tsDried oregano leaves
1/2 tsDried marjoram leaves
2 tbPowdered thyme
2 tsPowdered oregano
1 1/2 tsKosher salt
1 tsDried thyme leaves
1 tbSumac powder
2 tsPowdered marjoram
2 tsPowdered savory
1/3 cSesame seed
Peel of 2 lemons; Finely minced

Homemade Zataar (Middle Eastern Spice Blend) Preparation

Makes scant 3/4 cup In a small bowl, blend together oregano, thyme, savory, marjoram, sumac, sesame seed, kosher salt and lemon peel. Can be stored tightly covered 2 to 3 months.
