Original recipe makes 12 Servings
1/2 cPecans; chopped
1 cn(20-oz) pineapple chunks;
1 Jar (6-oz) maraschino
1 cn(16-oz) sliced peaches;
1 cn(16-oz) pear halves;
3/4 cBrown sugar
1/3 cButter or margarine
1 cn(16-oz) purple plums;
1 cn(16-oz) applesauce
3 tbBrown sugar
2 Bananas; sliced

Hot Fruit Compote #1 Preparation

Combine first six ingredients in 13x9x2-inch casserole. Set aside. Combine sugar, butter & applesauce in saucepan & heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally. Spoon over fruit. Sprinkle with brown sugar & pecans. Bake at 300 for 1 hour. Serve hot. (May be prepared ahead & frozen. To serve, thaw overnight in refrigerator.) Serves 12. HARRIET M.
