Amaretto Sauce For Bread Pudding

Perfect sauce to pour over fresh-from-the-oven Almond Bread Pudding.


1/2 cup Powdered sugar
1/2 cup Amaretto; or other liquor
1/2 cup Water
4 tl Butter or margarine
1 tl Cornstarch

Original recipe makes 1



Disolve the cornstarch in a little of the water and set aside. In a small saucepan, bring the Amaretto, remaining water, butter and sugar to a boil. Add the dissolved cornstarch and simmer, stirring until translucent, about 1 minute.Serve warm over bread pudding.
