Cream butter, Crisco, sugars, and vanilla. Measure the flour and add to the top of the butter sugar mixture. Sprinkle the rest of the dry ingredients on top of the flour. Slightly mix the dry ingredients together before mixing them into the butter and sugar mixture. This helps to mix the dry ingredients more evenly. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Dip the tops into water and then in sugar. Bake at 350' for 10-12 minutes, on an ungreased cookie sheet, until light brown.
