"Daughter and Son inlaw were here for the weekend, se we went to Big-oven for ideas with pasta, i must say this was absolutely killer. we made the following modifications, 1. we used 3/4 stick of butter. 2. we used 1/2 cup of fresh parsley. 3. we used precooked salad shrimp 1/2 lb. 4. poured the 1/2 cup of wine in the measuring cup and drank the rest."

Ingredients

10 oz Angel Hair Pasta; or fettucine or thin pasta
1/4 c olive oil
1/2 c Butter or margarine
4 large cloves Garlic; pressed
1 md Onion; finely diced
1/2 c Sweet red pepper; diced. OR
1/4 c Dried parsley flakes
1/2 c Dry white wine
8 oz Shrimp; cleaned, deveined OR
8 oz Chicken meat; cooked
8 md Mushrooms; sliced, sauteed
1/2 c Parmesan cheese

Original recipe makes 4 Servings

Preparation

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and toss with olive oil. Melt butter in skillet. Add garlic and onion and saute until onion is tender.

Add sweet pepper. Add parsley flakes and white wine. Pour mixture over pasta and toss until blended. Add shrimp, mushrooms and cheese. Toss and serve immediately.

It as ok. Didn't have a lot of flavor but was easy enough to add salt, pepper, & garlic salt as desired.

Love this recipe!!! I am a vegetarian and my dad is allergic to corn, dairy, and peanuts. So easy to make for the entire family, but add more bell pepper and mushrooms, you want to sauté these. Now I just wish we had a bigger stove top

I cooked this tonight and it was sooooo good. The wine sauce was excellent and it was nice and buttery. I added tomatoes and lemon zest to mine and it was perfect!
