Ready in 45 minutes

A concoction of various chile recipes that my wife and I can both live with. Easy to make and you can adjust the spices as it cooks.


1 lb Ground beef
1/2 lb Sausage; meat
2 Onions; chopped
5 cloves Garlic; sliced thinnly
1 tb Chili powder
2 cubes Beef boullion; crushed
4 Hot pepper rings; *
1 dash Louisianna hot sauce; or other hot sauce
1 tb Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 ts Paprika
1/2 ts Oregano
1/8 ts Ground cumin
1/8 ts Cayenne pepper
1 28-oz can Crushed tomatoes
1 14-oz can Red kidney beans

Original recipe makes 4



Combine sausage meat, ground beef, onions and garlic in skillet and brown.

Place all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low - medium for 6 - 8 hours, stirring and tasting occasionally. As the flavours meld you may want to add more hot sauce and/or cayenne pepper to suit your tast.

My wife doesn''t like food as spicy as I do so we try to come to a happy medium as it is cooked.

* I use the same type of hot pepper rings you normally get for your sausage on a bun at varous street venders.
