I am a beginner baker and love this recipe. I used butter instead of margarine, and used Granny Smith apples. I am surprised at how easy this was and how well it turned out. I had to cook it about 15 minutes longer than recipe stated, other than that very straightforward. I have made it 4 times now and my husband keeps asking me to make it again.

I added 1/4 cup of Apple sauce, t of cinnamon, and 1/2 cup walnuts to batter. 1/4 walnuts to topping

The taste was good. I added the cinnamon directly to the batter as well. Would chop the apples very small next time and spice the apples first before adding to the batter. Had to add 20 mins to baking time.

I made this apple bread and it's delicious!! My pan was smaller than the traditional loaf pan and took longer to bake, about 15 mins longer than the recipe time stated. The lenghty part was prepping the apples, but was well worth it! I also added about a tsp of cinnamon to the batter.

I decided not to use the topping and just added cinnamon in the dough.
