This apple crisp is a favorite in our household and I'm sure once you try it you will agree. Oh, and don't forget the vanilla ice cream or whipped topping!

"I doubled the ingredients to use a 9x13 baking dish and make this more moist (except I only increased the apples from 6 to 9). It was the first time I made it - delicious and decadent - my husband loved it! I used granny smith apples to contrast the sweet with some tartness - yummy. (Next time I plan to not double the butter and substitute for 1/2 cup buttermilk). I will keep making this recipe!"

Are you making this?
6 Apple; peeled & sliced
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 tablespoon Water
3/4 cup Brown sugar; firmly packed
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup Rolled oats
1 teaspoon Cinnamon; if desired
1/2 cup Butter

Original recipe makes 6

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place the sliced apples in an 8 or 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with water and lemon juice.

In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle the crumbly mixture evenly over the apples.

Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender.

Very good but add a pinch of salt to the topping to make it delicious.

Delicious and easy! I used 1/4 less sugar than the recipe called for though; still yummy!! Family enjoyed it.

I've made this 3 times and it turns out delicious every time. I doubled the topping on the last batch and cooked it a extra 10 minutes and it was great.

Made it last night and it was a huge hit! Tastes just like the warm apple crumble a la mode thing at red lobster, but better! Paired it with vanilla ice cream and my boyfriend and I were in heaven! Definitely will make again!
