gingersnap crumble
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, cardamon, and nutmeg. add the apples and toss gently to coat them with the flour and spices.
3. Arrange half the apple slices in an even layer in an 8 inch square baking dish. Sprinkle half of the gingersnap crumbs, repeat layeriny until last apple layer, drizzle with heavy cream then top with streusel.
4. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the apples are tender. Let cool for 15 minutes. Serve warm, with ice cream.
