Anything that could possibly taste good with apples.
Cook the raisins & rum with 1/3 cup water on the stove, add in brown sugar and bring to a boil - cook until sugar is dissolved - cool before adding to other ingredients.
Mix all remaining ingredients together in a large bowl, and add in the rum-raisin mix (cooled). Let ingredients sit for 10 - 15 minutes for flavors to combine after initial mixing.
You can make this as a double crust pie, a lattice top, or you can make an oats-streusel type topping for it (which is really good).
You can also leave out the pears to get rid of extra apples - I love it with the pears in it, but I've made it with just apples before, and it's still good.
