Made it again this Thanksgiving year. I had gas before, now electric. I made it in a square, glass pan. This time, I used brown sugar and cinnamon with crushed walnuts with the crumble.

Very easy to follow instructions and method. It's a great last minute dessert for those unexpected guests.

It was awesome! Added crushed hazelnuts to the crumb topping.

Very nice. Although it was my first time making any kind of pie so I left it in WAY too long meaning the pastry soaked up all the liquid. The crumble was very nice but again, I left it in too long and it got too hard. It tastes nice with cream or ice cream :)

Hey every, just posted the pick of my pie. Great recipe, everyone enjoyed it. I also added brown sugar to my crumble and next time I might put in some raisins or cranberries.

Skipped the oil, substituted brown sugar in the crumble topping and baked at 325 for 45minutes to perfection! Everyone gobbled it up at Thanksgiving! Thank-you!

Doctorjkl -- that's just because the recipe was marked as '1 serving' for the entire pie when it was posted. I've updated it to 8 servings. Thanks!
