Beat butter until creamy
Add sugar, beat until wet mixed
Add eggs, one at a time
Stir in almond flavoring
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt
Add 1/2 dry mix to butter mixture
Add sour cream to butter mixture
Add the remaining dry mix to butter mixture
Mix at low speed until just blended

Place 1/3 of batter in greased, floured 12-cup Bundt pan
Sprinkle with 1/2 of almonds and dot with 1/2 of preserves
Layer 1/3 of batter
Sprinkle the remaining almonds and preserves
Layer the remaining batter

Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes
Cool for 10-15 minutes
Turn out in rack and cool completely before slicing
