Put apricot preserves, soy sauce and vinegar into a large microwave safe bowl.
Microwave for 30 econds on high power, then whisk until the preserves are dissolved.
Whisk in ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes.
Add chicken and marinate for 15 minutes.
Preheat the broiler to high.
Transfer chicken pieves to a broiler tray.
Broil about 3 inches from the heat until the cooked through
and well charred on the surface, about 5 minutes.
