Ready in 45 minutes
Juicy beef meatball sandwiches in a bun with carrot, cucumber, lettuce and an addictive ginger sauce. Eric Akis, Victoria Times-Colonist food columnist firstname.lastname@example.org
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine all of the ingredients for the ginger sauce in a bowl. Set aside.
In another bowl, combine the beef, breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, soy sauce and black pepper. Moisten your hands with cold water, roll the meat into 2-inch balls and set on the baking sheet. Roast 25 minutes, or until cooked through (should be at least 160 degrees F). Drain any excess fat from the meatballs.
Divide the meatballs among the buns.
Top with the ginger sauce, lettuce, carrot and cucumber. If you like things spicy, drizzle the meatballs with some hot chili sauce.

moraki 1y agoBoyfriend loved it! I made it onto a meal though so had meatballs covered in ginger sauce, slaw as a side, the hot dog breads as a side too plus rice! Big hit, ginger sauce was so nice had to make double!
