These were my favorite as a child...
Cream marg, sugar, eggs, and vanilla till light and fluffy. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt, add to the creamed mixture. Stir in chips. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8 - 10 min. at 350''. Baking on parchment or wax paper leaves cookies slightly greasy, decrease marg if you are going to bake them this way.
