This is a wonderful appetizer! It's easy to make and delicious. Warm creamy baby brie with crab in a crispy tartlet. YUM!
"These were great but not without Old Bay Seasoning (as someone else suggested) and a little hot sauce. That really made them great. I had to make another 40 because they were so good."
Heat oven to 350 F.
Trim rind from outside edge of cheese.
Cut crosswise into 6 strips. Trim rind from each strip.
To form 30 pieces, cut the 4 longest strips each into 6 cubes.
Cut the 2 shortest strips each into 3 cubes.
In small bowl, combine crab meat, mayonnaise, pimiento and shallot.
Arrange tartlet shells on large cookie sheet. Spoon crab mixture evenly into tartlet shells, about 1 tsp. each. Top with cheese cube.
Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is soft and melted.
Sprinkle with chives.
hawks305 1y agoThis is a great recipe, did this for a church brunch had a lot of compliments. Did not use the brie cheese used smoked Gouda instead. Will make this again.
kater1 1y agothey were good, but not super good. I might make it again.
nancymiller 1y agoSeveral mentioned adding Old Bay seasoning and hot sauce. How much of each? I can't wait to try them. I wonder how they would be with chicken or sausage.

jpwentworth 2y agoNice recipe, however, the ingredients do not list pimento.
Lucifera 2y agoSimple and excellent! I will add some seasonings to the crab mixture next time though.

hakers12 3y agoHow much pimento do you add? I didn't see it listed in the ingredients but you mention adding them to it.
jessicamonroeharrington 3y agoEasy to make, sounds and looks fancy but was on the bland side. Everyone liked them though, so maybe just me.
