Much easier for "getting rid of" apples than making a pie

Ingredients

1 Apple
2 tablespoon Walnuts; crushed
1 teaspoon Brown sugar

Original recipe makes 1 Serving

Preparation

Peel the top half of the apple, then core it. Fill the hollow centre with crushed walnuts and sprinkle with brown sugar on top. Bake at 190C (375F, Gas mark 5) for about 45 minutes or until tender. Serve warm.

This is a wonderful, simple and delicious recipe. I made this and used black walnuts which gave it a special taste. Also, since I am looking for dishes I can modify for weight loss, I can use Splenda brown sugar in this. Adding a slight amount of vanilla to the juice also adds additional flavor. Thanks, Cleverkt, for sharing this recipe.
