rinse and dry apples. Using a sharp perry knife, cut out the cores leaving the bottom 1/2 inch of the apples intact. Scoop out the seeds and make a whole an inch or so wide
chop pecans and mix with cinammon and dried cherries
set apples in baking dish and stuff with the mixture
pour 3/4 cup boiling water into the pan. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
remove apples from the oven and baste them with the juices from the pan
