This is an old family recipe handed down by my aunt. This is always a hit at picnics. It's not your ordinary baked bean dish....Enjoy!
Preheat the oven to 350°. Save 2 slices of bacon for the top. Cut up the remaining bacon and fry, drain on paper towel set aside. Open the cans of beans, drain and place into a large bowl, add the mushrooms and seasonings. Gently mix the ingredients and place into a large Pammed casserole. Place the bacon strips on top and bake UNcovered 1 1/2 hours.
This may be made ahead of time and refrigerated.
