The best tasting baked clams


4 6.5-oz cans Clams; minced
1/4 cup Butter; melted
3 tablespoons Onions; chopped
1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Parsley
1/2 teaspoon Basil
1/2 teaspoon Oregano
1 cup Bread crumbs
6 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons White wine
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup Mozzarella; grated
salt and pepper; to taste

Original recipe makes 6



* Combine all ingredients, mix well and spoon into real clam shells or use party clam shells.

* Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and broil until lightly browned.

I am an Old Yankee and shell fisherman. This is a fine recipe, nice and clammy and can be spiced up to taste. Replaces my old recipe. Thanks!

Barbara, thank you for posting this recipe. I used to make this when I was a kid and I thought maybe I would find the recipe on the Internet. However, yours is even better than my childhood baked clams.
