1. Combine potatoes, onion and enough water to cover in large saucepan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Simmer 20 minutes (tender). Drain well.
2. Preheat over to 350. Grease a 3-quart baking dish.
3. Combine potato mix, cream cheese, 8 tablespoons butter, sour cream, egg, salt and pepper in large bowl. Beat at high speed until mixture is smooth.
4. Spoon mixture into baking dish. Dot with remaining butter. Sprinkle with paprika.
5. Bake 30-35 minutes. Serve immediately.
