This banana bread recipe is Mrs. Wood's version.
"This bread was awesome! I did make a couple changes/additions. I used all brown sugar in place of white sugar, I added about a half cup of ground golden fax meal. I also added an extra teaspoon or so of vanilla and a half cup of shredded coconut. The mixture seemed a bit thick so I added a splash of milk to loosen it up. Then I sprinkled brown sugar over the top before baking. It turned out great!!! Toasted it the next morning and topped with maple butter. Delicious!!!"- LoriLozier
Mash bananas with fork until smooth. Combine with all other ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into a large greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for about one hour
The best I have ever tried, not too soggy and not too dense.
t_tortilla 5 months agoQuite tasty! I add 1/4 cup each of walnuts and dried cranberries. 1/2 to 1 tsp of cinnamon if you want also!
hunnibun 6 months agoThis is delicious!! My dad used to make this and I could never find a recipe that tasted like his, but I think the search is over. The only thing I did different was I left some lumps in my banana mush, but I prefer it like that. Apart from that, I didn't change a thing.
jennbarraclough 6 months agoLOVE this recipe!!! Tastes almost exactly like my grandma's and my husband can't get enough it! Just make sure the bananas are NOT fresh, about a week old is perfect.

ees55 10 months agoThis was not my favorite. I added walnuts and cinnamon but the bread still seemed to be missing something. It could have been more moist too.
