My mom's Banana Nut Bread Recipe. Make it whenever you have overripe bananas laying around the house. Three mashed bananas makes about a cup.

Ingredients

Are you making this? 
1 2/3 cup Flour
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Sugar
1 cup Walnuts; chopped
1 Egg; beaten
1/4 cup Vegetable oil
1 cup Bananas; mashed
1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Original recipe makes 12

Servings  

Preparation

Sift together the dry ingredients. Add 3/4 cup of the nuts. Combine the remaining ingredients and add to the dry ingredients. Stir only until the flour is moistened. Pour into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Sprinkle the remaining nuts over the top of the loaf. Bake in a 350 oven for 1 hour.
