This banana treat is full of surprises: Pecans add an unexpected crunch and a bit of milk makes it extra moist. This cake freezes well.
1. Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour a 10" fluted tube pan; set aside. Combine flour, baking powder, and 1/2 tsp.salt; set aside.
2. In large bowl beat cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Gradually add sugar, beating about 7 minutes or until light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating one minute after each; scrape bowl frequently. In a bowl, combine bananas, milk, and vanilla. Alternately add flour mixture and banana mixture to butter mixture; beta on low to medium speed after each addition just until combined. stir in pecans. Spread evenly into pan.
3. Bake 80 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comesout clean. Cool cake in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling on rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
