This is my mock of Bonefish Grill's popular appetizer. We always make this when we have a tailgate goes over well and never lasts long.

0.5 cup Mayonnaise
0.25 cup Thai Sweetened Chili Sauce
0.25 teaspoon Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce; to taste
1 lb. Jumbo Shrimp; peeled and deveined
1 cup Dry cornstarch; for dredging
1 quart Oil for frying
0.25 head Iceburg Lettuce
3 Chopped scallions: garnish

Original recipe makes 4 Servings



Mix mayonnaise with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce. Add hot sauce to taste. Dredge the shrimp in cornstarch. Deep fry the shrimp until lightly brown. Do not over cook. Drain on paper towel, put in a bowl and coat with the sauce. Serve in a lettuce lined bowl, top with chopped scallions.
