The ultimate comfort food, whether you have a cold or not. A delicious chicken noodle soup that the whole family will love.

"I omitted the peas and used onion powder instead of chopped onion. Now my FAVORITE chicken soup!"


2 Onions; chopped
2 carrots; chopped
2 stalks celery; chopped
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
4 cups Water
2 1/2 pounds whole frying chicken; up to 3.5 pounds
1 cup Chopped fresh parsley
1 1/2 cups egg noodles; small or medium
1 cup peas

Original recipe makes 8



Put everything EXCEPT parsley, peas and noodles into Crockpot. Cook on Low 8-10 hours or High 4-6 hours. One hour before serving, remove chicken, cool slightly, remove all meat and add it back to Crockpot. Add remaining ingredients and cook one more hour, this time on High.

Very good. I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts instead. Was easy and great leftovers.
