Adaptation for the home from the Manale families Pascal's of New Orleans BBQ shrimp recipe. Developed by my mother Penny who dined there often and refined by a further 20 years in my kitchen.
Preheat oven to 350°F .
Combine all ingredients, except shrimp, in sauce pan and heat on medium flame for 5-8 min.
Place shrimp on half sheet pan in one layer. Pour heated sauce over shrimp.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning 4 times.
Divide shrimp and sauce into bowls to serve with quality french or italian peasant bread for dipping.
Provide side plates for heads and shells as well as a generous supply of napkins as this is a hands on dining experience.
Ingredients do not reapportion evenly to compensate for smaller shrimp. If you can't get the 15-20 count, I suggest you change your menu and prepare something else.
