No need to resort to the over priced mixes or worse yet, the 'add water and shake' products when it is time to make Saturday morning pancakes. This recipe is easy and makes fully customizable basic pancakes your whole family will love.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
In a 2 cup measuring cup combine the milk, the egg and oil (this saves cleaning an extra mixing bowl.)
Combine the wet and dry ingredients, and stir until just combined. The mix should still be slightly lumpy.
Rest for a few minutes while heating your pan, and cook each one over medium to medium high heat, turning once of course and enjoy!
This is a very easy recipe to customize, and you can add in anything from fruit to nuts (or chocolate chips). I like to add a dash of Vanilla to the mix as well.
