This super comforting dish is very adaptable! This variation is my familes favorite!

6 ounces cheddar cheese; grated
5 ounces bacon; about 10 slices, crumbled
10 grape tomatoes; sliced fine
5 ounces green onions; chopped fine
3 Eggs; beaten
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup 2% milk
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic pepper
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
20 sheets phyllo
1/4 cup butter; melted

Original recipe makes 6

Set aside prepared vegetables, cheese and bacon. Ingredients for crust will be assembled once filling is prepared. Mix together all other ingredients beating well. Layer phyllo sheets in pie pan, brushing each layer with melted butter. Add bacon, cheese and veggies, then pour egg mixture over all. Bake for 55 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Should be firm and browned lightly. Cool for 10 minutes, then cut into 6 slices.

The best indicator for quiche is a toothpick test in the center. If it comes out clean, it's done! [I posted this recipe.]
