1/4 cup Catsup
2 tblspoons Steak Sauce
1 tblspoon Water
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Vinegar
1 clove Garlic; minced
3 dashes Hot Pepper Sauce; optional
1 pound Lean ground beef
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
4 each Hamburger Buns
American Cheese; sliced
Lettuce; Leaves
Tomato; sliced
Onion; sliced
Pickles; sliced

Original recipe makes 4 Servings



1) For sauce: In a small saucepan, combine catsup, steak sauce, water, vinegar, sugar, garlic, and if desired, hot pepper sauce. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat; set aside.

2) In a medium bowl combine ground beef, salt, and pepper. Shape meat mixture into four 3/4 inch thick patties.

3) On a charcoal grill, grill patties on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 14 to 18 minutes or until meat is done (160F), turning once halfway through grilling and brushing once or twice with sauce during the last 5 minutes.

(If using a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. place patties on the grill rack over heat. Cover and grill as above.)

4) Serve burgers on buns. Spoon any remaining sauce over burgers. If desired, serve burgers with cheese, letuce, tomato, onion, and pickes.


We only eat all organic products so I dont know how this would taste otherwise, but I can tell you this is the best BBQ Burger that I have ever had in my life!

They were okay. Placing the BBQ sauce while cooking took away from the BBQ FLAVOR. it would have probably tasted better if served warm and used like a dunking sauce on the side.

I made this with just the hamburgers and sauce and added grated cheddar on the top after grilling.

Even though I made them on an oven, they turned out pretty good. I love the sauce!

BBQ sauce was pretty basic but combined well with the charcoal flavor. Ours came out juicy and flavorful!

This was not anything I couldn't make with a bottle of BBQ sauce. I make my own BBQ sauce and it's much better.
