Beef - Crockpot - Beef with Cheesy Dumplings

2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 4/5 kilograms Gravy Beef; chopped
400 grams Mushrooms; sliced
5 rashers Bacon; chopped
1 whole Onion; chopped
2 teaspoons Garlic; crushed
1 can Tomatoes; crushed
2 cups Stock - beef
1 cup Wine - red
1/3 cup Tomato Paste
2 cups Flour - Self Raising
80 grams Butter; chopped
60 grams Parmesan; shredded
3/4 cup Milk

Original recipe makes 4 Servings



Heat oil in pot

Add beef, brown.

Add all remaining ingredients (except flour, cheese, milk, butter)

Cook in crockpot for the day (or slowly in oven for 2 hours)

Make up dumplings - rub butter into flour with fingers, stir through seasoning, milk and some of the parmesan.

Divide dumpling mix into 18 and roll into balls

Transfer finished beef to a casserole dish, top with dumplings, brush with egg and sprinkle with remaining parmesan

Bake for 20 minutes until dumplings golden brown
