Beef and Bean Burritos

This meal is a family favorite. We serve it with Spanish Rice!


1 pound Ground beef
1 medium Onion; chopped
16 ounce Refried beans
1/4 cup Taco sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
10 Flour tortillas; heated
1 cup Cheese; shredded
1/2 cup Enchillada sauce

Original recipe makes 10



1. In large skillet, combine ground beef and onion; cook over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.

2. Stir in beans, taco sauce, chili powder, salt, pepper, and cheese; mix well. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes.

3. Spoon about 1/4 cup beef mixture onto center of each tortilla. Roll-up each burrito. Top each with some Enchillada sauce.

Very good! I didn't have enchilada sauce. Just topped with shredded cheese & baked at 350 for 20 min. I did use burrito seasoning as suggested.

Made this last night and my husband and two year old loved it. The only thing I changed was adding more taco sauce to the meat and a little garlic powder. I poured the enchilada sauce over them in a casserole dish and and added as shredded cheese and green onions and baked at 350? for 30 minutes. Delicious!!!!

This so reminded me of the Ole El Paso Burrito Kit that no longer exists! They changed it and it now has rice and nothing at all like their old recipe! Thanks for sharing this! It is now my go too Burrito recipe!
