In fry pan, add oil, season meat with garlic pepper and brown.
Add meat to broth, let simmer on low heat while cutting up veggies.
Add tomatoes (do not drain), and all veggies
Let simmer for about 2 hours on low heat or on low in crock pot
Add barley
** If more broth is needed, use beef base and add to soup.
