"Great easy recipe. Put this together and then went out hiking with the kids for the afternoon. It was so easy to just boil some pasta quick when we got back, and it was just the energy kick everyone needed. I did add some fresh parsley at the end and served it with some leftover salad. I also cut butter down to a tablespoon and a tablespoon of olive oil. Agree with "Stewdebaker" that a little white wine would be a great addition to it but haven't tried it yet."

2 tb Butter or margarine
1 1/2 c Beef bouillon
2 tb Ketchup
1 sm clove Garlic; crushed
1 ts Salt
8 oz Mushrooms; sliced
1 md Onion; chopped
3 tb Flour
1 c Sour cream
3 c Hot cooked noodles; (up to

Preparation

Dredge beef in flour and salt. Melt butter or margarine in large skillet and add beef and onion. Cook over medium heat until browned. Place beef bouillon, ketchup, garlic and mushrooms in crock pot and mix. Add cooked beef and onions. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours. This recipe was too runny and very bland. It was also too much for an average 4 person family

Used fat from frying bacon to brown onions and added 2 bay leaves. Kids liked it

Really yummy, added too much liquid, but just made it more soup like. Will definitely be trying this one again.

This wad really good. Added some additional seasonings of onion powder, fresh garlic and Lipton's onion soup mix. This is definitely now a family favorite.

I too added red wine. I also substituted fat free plain yogurt for sour cream; they taste the same. The kids & I enjoyed it. The hubby didn't tell me until almost time to eat that he didn't care for any beef stroganoff. Oh well.
