Heat oven 375F
Spray baking dish
Cook pasta.
Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat
Cook onion 4-5 minutes until soft and add garlic.
Increase heat to medium high and add beer, bring to a boil
Boil for 1 minute and whisk in the milk, cheddar and salt, whisking constantly until the cheese melts.
Simmer 3-4 minutes. Sauce will be quite thin.
Remove from heat and stir in the pasta.
Melt remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in medium non-stick skillet.
Stir in breadcrumbs and green onions until coated.
Sprinkle over pasta.
\Bake for 30-40 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Makes 6 servings
