Best Broccoli Salad

This is a broccoli salad with raisins and sunflower seeds, along with red onion, peas, and a sweet-sour mayonnaise dressing.

"I've been craving broccoli salad after seeing it on a salad bar.This recipe did not dissapoint. I've never seen a recipe with peas before, but the peas were a welcome addition. A helpful hint, a half cup of crumbled bacon is 8 center cut slices."

Ingredients

5 cups fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup cooked bacon; crumbled
1/4 cup red onion; chopped
1 cup frozen peas; thawed
Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoons vinegar; (up to 2 tbsp)
1/2 cup sugar

Preparation

Combine broccoli florets, raisins, sunflower seeds, crumbled bacon, chopped onion, and peas in a large serving bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar. Add dressing to the salad and toss to mix well. Chill thoroughly before serving.

Yummy!!! This is awsome!! I added some chopped ham I had left over along with the bacon and used pinenuts instead of sunflower seeds (only because thats what I had on hand)also left out the rasins (family not fond of them) Wonderful!!!
