Suggest a better description(1). Preheat oven to 350 degrees
(2). Mix cake mix, egg, and softened butter in a stand mixer or food processor until a thick, fudge-like dough forms.
(3). Roll dough into 20 balls, about 1-inch each, and set on greased cookie sheet, about 2-inches apart. Flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass, then make a shallow indent in the center of each.
(4). Open pie filling and place about a teaspoon of sauce from the filling in the center of each cookie, then top with a single cherry.
(5). Bake for 8-10 min. Until set. Cool a minute on the cookie sheet, then remove to a rack to cool completely.
(6). To make icing, whisk milk into the powdered sugar until well blended and smooth. Add vanilla. If too runny, add more powdered sugar a bit at a time until desired drizzling consistency.
(7). Place wax paper or paper towels under the cookies on the cooling racks to catch excess icing and makes clean up easier.drizzle icing in stripes across the cooled cookies. Allow icing to set before serving.
