Blackberry Wine Cake

This cake is simple to make, and absolutely delicious. The glaze makes it absolutely perfect.


1 Duncan Hines White Cake Mix (without pudding in th
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 small packages of blackberry jello
1/2 cup Vegetable oil
4 Eggs
1 cup blackberry wine
3/4 cup nuts of your choice
powdered sugar
2 tbsp Butter; melted
blackberry wine

Original recipe makes 12 Servings



Preheat oven as specified on cake mix box. Combine all of the ingredients listed for the cake and fold into a tube pan that has been sprayed with Bakers Joy. Bake according to package directions or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove cake from oven and allow to cool. Invert onto cake plate and prepare the glaze.

Mix glaze ingredients together until you have a glaze consistency and the flavor you would desire. Pour over cake.

I couldn't find blackberry jello, so I used blackberry raspberry fusion jello. This is my grandmothers recipe and there really isn't too much explanation on it, but it is very simple to put together and is delicious. As for the glaze, you can make it to have a more buttery flavor, or more of a blackberry wine flavor. [I posted this recipe.]
