Blue Cheese Potatoes Au Gratin

2 sl White bread; coarsely Crumbled
1/2 ts Salt
1 c milk
4 lg Potatoes; (2 1/2 lbs) peeled and Sliced 1/4" thick
1/4 ts Pepper
2 tb Garlic; finely chopped
1 c Heavy cream
1/8 ts Nutmeg
6 oz Blue cheese

Original recipe makes 4



Combine potatoes, cream, milk, garlic, spices and 1/2 cheese. Simmer 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Put in an 8" square buttered baking dish and top with cheese and bread crumbs. Bake at 350F 35-40 minutes until potatoes are fork tender and top is browned. Serves 6 Posted to MM-Recipes Digest by on May 27, 1998
