Toast pecans: Bake pecans at 350? in a single layer in a shallow pan 6 to 8 minutes or until toasted and fragrant, stirring halfway through.
Finely chop vanilla wafers in food processor.
Finely chop nuts in food processor.
Combine corn syrup and bourbon, stirring well.
Combine vanilla wafers, pecans, powdered sugar, and cocoa in a large bowl; stir well.
Pour bourbon mixture over wafer mixture; stir until blended.
Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in additional powdered sugar.

Yield about 6 dozen.
Store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
Substitutes: Rum instead of Kahlua & Bourbon; use granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar to coat the balls.
