In large bowl, thoroughly mix 2 cup flour, bran, sugar, salt and un-dissolved yeast. Combine water, milk, molasses and margarine in saucepan. Heat over low heat til liquids are very warm. Margarine does not need to melt. Gradually add to dry ingredients and beat 2 min at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping occasionally. Add 1 cup flour mixture. Beat at high speed 2 min, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in enough flour to make soft dough. Turn out onto lightly floured board; knead til smooth and elastic abt 8-10 min (dough may be sticky). Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover; let rise in warm place, free from draft, til double in bulk, abt 40 min. Punch dough down, divide in 2 parts. Divide each half into 9 equal pieces. Roll into balls and place on greased cookie sheets. Flatten to 3.5 inch circles. Cover; let rise in warm place, free form draft, til double in size, abt 50 min. Combine egg white, 1 Tbsp water and brush gently on buns. Sprinkle with seed if desired. Bake in 375 F oven for 15 min or til done. Remove from baking sheets and cool on wire racks.
