Hungarian dish


500 grams pork; cubed
500 grams potatoes; cubed, boiled
5 tbsp oil
3 onions
4 cloves garlic; crushed
1 Salt
1 pepper

Original recipe makes 4 Servings



1. Chop the meat into 1.5 - 2 cm cubes.

2. Chop and boil the potatoes the same size as the meat.

3. Chop onions finely, and fry them until golden. Pour some water in the pan, then add the meat, garlic, salt and pepper. Once the meat turned white on all sides, add more water, and put the lid on the pan. Check on it regularly, and add more water if necessary. Remove lid, and let the water reduce.

4. When meat is almost ready, add the potatoes, and fry them together.

Traditionally this recipe is prepared with half beef - half pork. If you decide to use beef, too, then add pork only when beef is already half-cooked. [I posted this recipe.]
